Oliver! has finally finished. The 18th performance ended on Saturday and I have sung 'It;s Your Funeral' for the last time. Playing Mr Sowerberry the creepy undertaker was a real laugh and even though the girls thought I walked like a chicken I was commended for my creepy walk. And yes we did have two different Olivers!
I'd like to think that I will have a peaceful few weeks now but no - I am to play Herr Gruber the
camp Nazi officer in Allo Allo which is coming to Hamilton in late August......
Anyway thats enough about me - the girls are recovering from their superb production of the Scarlett Pimpernel and Chris is recovering well from her broken toe (see earlier posts). It is the 'Queens Birthday' piblic holiday here tomorrow - so like public holidays the world over it is teeming with rain here.
